Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts Bali

By | Accomodations, Travel | 2 Comments

Two weeks ago, we were very fortunate to have visited Bali and we stayed at the very beautiful Bvlgari Resort!!!  It’s a perfect getaway for a honeymoon, for a short vacation and just relax and get away from it all.  It was nice to be together with the family and spend time and bond

Tight security upon entering the resort

Though it is a bit inconvenient to get to Bali from Manila, when you get there, it’s all worth it

black-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-09.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-02.jpg

View of the villas from the main lobby of the resort.  There are 59 villas all in all

black-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-03.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-04.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-05.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpg

I noticed these beautiful stone decors around the resort

Our welcome drink which is made out of fresh herbs and fruits

Because the resort is quite big and has uphills and downhills, best way to travel around is with the golf cart 🙂  Just request for them from wherever you are and they will come to pick you up.  You can also walk around when not in a hurry

black-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-032.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-010.jpgblack-line.jpgblack-line.jpgbulgari-resort-bali-011.jpg

Roads to the villas

Around the bar area and dining restaurants.  There are two restaurants at the resort – Il Ristorante ( Italian ) and Sangkar ( Indonesian ) and they have a bar area and they are all beside each other in one area

After our event at Porac, we treated ourselves to a Kapampangan lunch!  Margie and Jill took us to Everybody’s Cafe!  There are two branches

Del Pilar, McArthur Highway San Fernando, Pampanga

and

105-106 BPI Arcade, Teresa Avenue, Sto. Rosario, Angeles City

More dining area

everybodys-cafe-08.jpg

Tita Reggie pointed it out to me that it is very Filipino to have a last supper painting or decor in the dining room of Filipino families, and I am really beginning to notice that 🙂

A mini store selling Pampanga delicacies

Take home items from Everybody’s Cafe

everybodys-cafe-06.jpg

It’s cafeteria style where all the dishes are displayed.  You choose what you want and then they will heat it up and cook it before serving

everybodys-cafe-021.jpgeverybodys-cafe-013.jpgeverybodys-cafe-014.jpgeverybodys-cafe-015.jpg

Frogs 🙂 We didn’t order this.  I am adventurous but maybe not that adventurous haha!!

everybodys-cafe-016.jpgeverybodys-cafe-017.jpgeverybodys-cafe-018.jpg

Murcon which we ordered

The kitchen

everybodys-cafe-022.jpgeverybodys-cafe-023.jpg

Oh! It’s the owner, Poch Jarolan.  What a pleasure to meet him

everybodys-cafe-012.jpgeverybodys-cafe-025.jpg

I like the plaques around the place with prayers and sayings 🙂 Poch told me that his dad made these plaques

everybodys-cafe-057.jpg

We ordered quite a number of dishes but we were not as adventurous, my batchmates were quite conservative in ordering.  I concentrated on a few dishes that i really liked which were the Murcon, Sisig, Duck adobo and Sisig! 🙂 Oh and the longganisa!!! YUM!!

everybodys-cafe-026.jpg

Fresh Buko juice

Pako Salad

everybodys-cafe-030.jpg

Oh my gosh! Margie brought back for me dried crickette!  She saw a plate of them being cleaned and washed in one of the tables near the restroom and she brought back one for me to see 🙂  The dish for this is called Camaro which now I regret not ordering even just to try!

everybodys-cafe-031.jpg

everybodys-cafe-041.jpg

In between our meal, mommy Pette arrived! 🙂

everybodys-cafe-039.jpg

Back to eating 🙂  YUMMY longganisa!! Available at Salcedo market every Saturday also!!! I will get some when I visit!

everybodys-cafe-040.jpg

YUMMY crispy duck adobo! make sure to put the adobo sauce

everybodys-cafe-042.jpg

Yummy desserts from Poch! Thank you!!!

everybodys-cafe-043.jpgeverybodys-cafe-044.jpgeverybodys-cafe-045.jpgeverybodys-cafe-058.jpg

After lunch, Poch showed me around some more.  He pointed out that his dad was a blacksmith and so he made the tables which you will see in the restaurant.  The cylinder below is made out of the cylinder for bullets from the war

everybodys-cafe-048.jpg

Then he took me to the function room- bigger space for events and parties

everybodys-cafe-053.jpg

He showed me a painting on the wall made in 1967 and repainted in 1979

everybodys-cafe-049.jpg

Its the whole wall!! Beautiful!  I love it because it is FILIPINO themed!

everybodys-cafe-050.jpgeverybodys-cafe-051.jpgeverybodys-cafe-052.jpg

The artist who painted this was an artist who used to make posters and billboard for movies in the olden days when everything had to be handpainted- so he drew portraits of artists and so you will notice that some of the faces look like familiar faces like  Andres Bonifacio looks like Fernando Poe 🙂

everybodys-cafe-054.jpg

And the Katipunero looks like Ferdinand Marcos 🙂

everybodys-cafe-056.jpg

And a sexy Filipina

everybodys-cafe-055.jpg

And love this plaque the most!  Thank you Pock and Everybody’s Cafe for a wonderful Filipino dining experience

Betis Garden, Pampanga

By | Nature, Travel | 2 Comments

My friend, Timmy, took me to Pampanga to visit different exporters of furniture since she is helping me furnish my house.  She took me to Betis Crafts Inc. which is a factory and residence all in one.

img_0381.JPGimg_0395.JPG

The owner lives in the big compound and she loves gardening so you will see at the back of the factory her garden.  Many come over to see the place as well and has become sort of a tourist spot 🙂
