SPS Grad Dinner

The 4 best friends in St. Paul’s had a joint graduation dinner before Graduation Day – Jaime, Antonino, Trin and Charley. It was a great idea to celebrate together

Thank you to Chananya, the mom of Trin, she organised everything and found the venue which was perfect for all four families. There are not that many venues in Concord and it gets full so we were lucky to get this place

We had a private room that was cozy for all of us

Since it was a big group – we could only choose between salmon, chicken or beef. Everyone got a salad and dessert. It was very good 🙂

Meeting the Parents of SPS X PH

Quick lunch

The 3 students representing our country in St. Paul’s School Concord, New Hampshire – Antonio Roxas, Yasmeen Sabet and Jaime de Jesus. Graduating as part of Form of 2015. They have also decided to celebrate with their friends so they invited 25 of their batch mates to go to the Philippines

So we asked the parents of their friends to come over for the lunch so we could meet them. It was an opportunity for them to meet us too and make them feel more comfortable about letting their kids stay with us. We were not able to meet all but most of them we did 9 ( but I was unable to take a photo of all 🙁 ) But here are some of them

Anniversary Weekend and Graduation 2015 at SPS

Graduation is a weekend long celebration at St. Paul’s School. They have a whole line up of activities for alumni, for the graduates and for their families

Jaime’s wish was to have Lolo Benny and his Lolo Jun and Dada Monching attend his graduation. 2 out of 3 came!! Lolo Jun who ofcourse is there always and his 94 year old great grandfather! Lolo Benny. We never thought it would be possible, but he was there!!! He flew from Manila, drove 5 hours to Concord, celebrated Grad dinner, ate in the Gordon rink for lunch and waited an hour to get a good seat and sat for an hour and a half to be in Jaime’s graduation. Truly a blessing and an honor!! Didn’t I say he was the best?

It’s a beautiful campus here! It’s self contained and it’s a beautiful environment for the children to live in and study. They hardly have to go out

One of the major events is the Alumni and Form of 2015 Parade where all the Alumni and for the graduating class

There are meals being served in the cafeteria or in the Gordon Rink or Hockey Centre and families are al welcome to join. This was graduation day and the family joined lunch at the Hockey Centre

Meeting Mimi at Sunny’s Table

Our 19 year old son, Jaime, made us drive 5 hours (round trip) from Boston to Concord for us to meet his girlfriend, Mimi, over dinner. We thought it was a crazy idea because of the drive but because it was so important for Jaime, we agreed. Obviously he is in LOVE 🙂 and we are happy that it was important to him that she be introduced to us as his parents. We have done our best to raise our son and trust that one day he will find the right one (who will have to be like his Mom haha!! ) The future of our kids will rely very much on who they will marry so we pray and wish that they will find someone that will take care of them and will LOVE and make them happy.

We ate at one of the best restaurants in Concord. It’s a small city and there is not much around, so this is already the best haha!! And the kids only eat here when their parents are visiting because it is not that cheap and the portions are small

Glenda Candleholder

My Tita Nena Vargas Tantoco gave me one of these candleholders. It’s made out of trees that fell from typhoon Glenda in Sta. Elena.

Glenda Candleholder (1) She taught the gardeners how to make it and they make them during their spare time. Tita Nena sells them and she buys some from the gardeners and it goes to the Sta. Elena employees fund. Isn’t she amazing?

I visited her in Sta. Elena and saw reindeers made out of the trees that fell from Glenda

IN C Design Studio

Focusing on the creatives of the celebration we had,

These were all done by Ina Colayco Bautista in a span of one days planning! AMAZING! From design to printing 🙂 They turned a simple surprise celebration to a super amazing Die hard themed event

They do design and layout ( branding/logo design, packaging design and printed collaterals ) Large format printing – tarps, panaflex, posters, vinyl stickers, backlit film, fabric and satin banners

It is not written here but IN.C came from Incy which was how Ina’s dad used to call her 🙂 So it could mean “Incy” or INa Colayco 🙂 Ina studied graphics design from Parsons New York City which explains her creativity. She is also OC ( obsessive compulsive ) but maybe that is not from Parsons 🙂 But I think it is good and can only mean that she is meticulous about what she does

Ina is in charge of the creatives and the back office responsibilities and Nich is in charge of marketing and production. If a couple can work together successfully, they can be married happily too 🙂

It’s a Good Day to Train Hard

Last Monday, we had a plan! Which we all put together in two days for a Wednesday celebration 🙂 It’s all TEAMWORK! 🙂 And this was the plan taken from our WhatsApp group ” THE GOLDEN AN PLAN”

after class, we will all go to the back parking by the badminton – my van will be there with driver so we can all go together and not worry about parking. We will go to MAPLE in San Antonio Forbes. Laura already reserved the place. Ty Laura and EA 🙂

The plan worked out very well and smoothly and we were able to come up with all that in a day’s planning!!! Every single one contributed for the celebration!!! So much fun!!

Vermin Verallo who also trains one on one with Ned! Three times a week! She is 76 years old and very strong probably stronger than all of us 🙂 Ned scheduled a breakfast with his friend from the states, Rene! So we were happy to adopt him for the day as a boot camper 🙂 Laura’s kids joined us as well – Gavin and Madison – they took the place of Juampi who could not joinBreakfast at Maple!!! As a tip, please use the salt and pepper shakers to season your food. I am sure they put those there because they did not season the food, you have to do it yourself to your liking 🙂 The Big Maple BreakfastEggs Benedict that had no muffin since it was out of stockHuevos Rancheros – a bestseller and it looks so good but Lance did not share this with us! haha!!

The cake that started this all! I was going to bring this to bootcamp class because I knew Ned liked it and then from there decided to make it into a more complicated celebration 🙂 Leana our SGV and treasure who audited the bill and collected from us – she was so ready she even had a plastic bag with change in case she needed.
