Delta Airlines SkyBreak Basket

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

Heart2Heart enjoyed the meals on Delta Airlines!  I normally don’t like airplane food but for the second time using Delta to the US, I looked forward to the meals.  I also try to eat well when traveling because I don’t want my immune system to go down, it is difficult to get sick when traveling.  I used to diet and not eat during flights and later on felt weak and I could see it in my nails that I was not nourished!  Thanks to better airline food, I don’t do that anymore!

delta-airlines-meals-05.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-04.jpg

I tried the Japanese meal this time, trying to be healthy 🙂

delta-airlines-meals-01.jpg

It was really healthy, that even after, you are still hungry! 🙂  They say that is you feel light and hungry after, that means your meal was healthy.  When you feel bloated and regretting you ate, definitely your meal was unhealthy!! 🙂

delta-airlines-meals-07.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-09.jpg

James had the western.  We always order different so we can share and try more dishes

delta-airlines-meals-02.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-06.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-08.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-010.jpg

Dessert tray!!!  Made up for the healthy! haha!!

delta-airlines-meals-03.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-011.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-013.jpg

And this is something I miss all the time, because I sleep always during the flight.  This time, I stayed up and watched movies and visited the snack tray!!! LOVE IT!!! 🙂  Everyone is usually asleep too, so it is dark in the cabin – so used a flash to take this photo

delta-airlines-meals-014.jpg

I got one of each and made baon some 🙂 and oh my gosh, I got two bananas for James and I to eat when we land, and when we got to baggage claim- the security and his dog smelled the banana and we just told him the truth that it was from the plane – but he put a sticker on our customs form and they had to xray our luggage on the way out!  So, lesson learned, do not bring the banana from the plane! 🙂  its part of the fruits and vegetables that are not allowed!

delta-airlines-meals-016.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-017.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-018.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-019.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-020.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-021.jpgdelta-airlines-meals-025.jpg

Before landing…love the sight of clouds that look so soft – yet when you go through them its bumpy! haha!! I love them and I hate them 🙂

delta-airlines-meals-024.jpg

Before arriving we have another meal!

 delta-airlines-meals-03.jpg

James got the hot meal ( savory )

delta-airlines-meals-026.jpg

And I got the cereal which was really really good – I was happy 🙂  Take note of the banana which I put on the side and still took out with me from the plane!

delta-airlines-meals-028.jpg

This was the SkyBreak Basket on the way back home!

My Morning with Lolo

By | Foodie, Health and Fitness | 4 Comments

I love love spending time with my Lolo.  One morning I came early enough ( 7am )  to have breakfast with him.  My Lolo is not only Ambassador but to me he is King!  Because everyone around him pampers and takes care of him 🙂

my-morning-with-lolo-06.jpg

How nice the sounds of the lovebirds.  We had them as our background for breakfast 🙂

my-morning-with-lolo-010.jpglovebirds-in-lolos-house.JPG

Wow!! We actually had a breakfast menu!!  Conchita came to me and asked me what I wanted for breakfast.  I was hoping I could have everything on the list! haha!!  Lolo checked the things he liked 🙂

my-morning-with-lolo-07.jpgmy-morning-with-lolo-012.jpgmy-morning-with-lolo-04.jpg

And this was mine! WOW! I loved it! This is Lucban longganisa from Bacolod. Yum with garlic rice and quesong puti!  I had that quesong puti cooked a little bit more

my-morning-with-lolo-08.jpg

After breakfast we went around the house to visit Lolo’s other pets – his turtles, more birds and his doves.  He built cages and houses for them

my-morning-with-lolo-01.jpg

At 9am we went to Polo Club gym for his workout with the best personal trainer, Ned 🙂  Thanks to my cousin Nina for arranging this.  Lolo was so excited for his workout – he kept asking what time his workout was and so we left earlier than schedule

my-morning-with-lolo-03.jpg

Warming up

my-morning-with-lolo-09.jpg

Bicep curls! My Lolo is so strong!  He is 91 years old and believe me – he is very strong and very sharp!  I feel so guilty I now have to workout harder! haha

my-morning-with-lolo-014.jpg

Lolo stretching after an hour workout.  He told me he could do another 30 minutes!!  WOW!!  He is already looking forward to his next workout 🙂  Thank you Ned for watching over Lolo’s health

Homemade Mexican Dinner

By | Foodie | 3 Comments

After 12 years, we let go of our cook 🙁  In our search for a replacement, we stumbled into an applicant who apparently used to work for my parents in the 70’s and she had recently retired from her job at the Mexican Embassy!  So to test her abilities, I asked her to prepare a Mexican dinner for me and my friends.  I invited my close friends so that even if it does not taste good, they will still be my friends!  haha!! We were all guinea pigs that evening.  Here is Virgie our cook. She is so shy so it was hard to take her photo 🙂 I hired her for the day and she came and prepared our dinner.  Thank you Virgie for preparing for us a yummy Mexican dinner
