By | Foodie | 2 Comments

Thanks to our good friend, Ned, for telling us about this place in BF Homes!  We went here twice already even if it is so far from where we live.

Chef Otsuka, owner and chef of the restaurant.  He was shy and didn’t want me to take his photo but eventually he agreed 🙂   A very nice and soft spoken gentleman

BonChon Chicken

By | Foodie | 3 Comments

FINALLY!!!! My first time to try BonChon chicken!! We decided to go to the Greenbelt branch since we were assuming Ayala Triangle will be jampacked!

bonchon-01.jpgbonchon-02.jpgbonchon-03.jpg

James and I ordered the 6 pcs. wings

bonchon-04.jpg

We got half spicy and have regular.  The spicy is the one with the red toothpick.  Too spicy for both of us.

bonchon-09.jpg

So we had to order another batch.  YUMMY!!!!!!

bonchon-08.jpg

James ordered the Bulgogi wrap, not really my type

bonchon-05.jpg

of course with fries!

bonchon-06.jpg

Of course with rice!! but I did not like the rice too much, it was very sticky- either I will bring my own rice or I will just take home the chicken!  🙂

When I came over to visit Carsy’s exhibit at Greystone…..

I was happy to see that Greystone is a site for the Tasting Room of Global Beer Exchange

And here is the Beer guy, Jim, behind the bar 🙂

img_1576.jpg

Jim says, “We basically focus exclusively on American Craft Beer from 6 American Craft Breweries, with about 90 variants available at the tasting room. We represent the following breweries exclusively in the country:

1) Anderson Valley Brewing

2) Ballast Point Brewing

3) Gordon Biersch Brewing

4) Rogue Ales

5) Southern Tier Brewing

6) Stone Brewing

and during happy hour from 3-6pm, we sell our beers at 20%”

Chuck’s Deli

By | Foodie | One Comment

Javs and I have found OUR place 🙂  I hardly have the chance to pick up Javs from school so last week when I did, I took him for merienda.  Mike has been telling us about this place for so long and finally we got to try it.  Though it took the place of Healthy Kitchen which we also enjoyed

Previous Entry:  Healthy Kitchen December 3, 2008

chucks-deli-01.jpgchucks-deli-02.jpgchucks-deli-06.jpgchucks-deli-022.jpg

It’s a very casual place, also very small and can sit a few only

chucks-deli-023.jpgchucks-deli-010.jpgchucks-deli-011.jpgchucks-deli-013.jpg

My cute date 🙂

chucks-deli-012.jpg

The condiments on the table plus hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands before holding your sandwich 🙂

chucks-deli-015.jpg

We asked the waiter what the bestsellers are and he said, The Pilgrim, The Buffy, Roast Beef and Reuben

img_5aaa573.jpg

We chose the roast beef to share, this is how it came.  You can upgrade your chips to double fried french fries and a soda for P 95.00 so that is what we did

chucks-deli-017.jpg

Up Close!  The ciabatta was super fresh, crunchy and so so good!! We really really enjoyed our Roast beef sandwich.

chucks-deli-016.jpg

We actually preferred the homemade potato chips…make sure to dip it in the garlic sauce and chuck’s sauce.  Since Chuck’s sauce is spicy, I mix it with the garlic sauce to tone it down- goes perfectly with the sandwich and with the chips!!

chucks-deli-018.jpg chucks-deli-027.jpgchucks-deli-029.jpg

After our merienda, we suggested to take Dad here to try the sandwiches, so a few days after we were back!  We took up half of the restaurant already 🙂 It’s a good thing there are many choices to cater to each one’s taste

chucks-deli-030.jpgimg_5aaaa574.jpg

The Philly Cheese Steak was Tammy’s favorite while James and I prefer our bread to be heated and a bit crunchy, Chuck’s hoagie was soft

chucks-deli-031.jpgchucks-deli-032.jpg

We got to try the burger also

img_5aaa546.jpgchucks-deli-033.jpg

and the onion rings

chucks-deli-034.jpg

The Reuben was what Mike recommended and some of us liked it too!  YUM!!

chucks-deli-035.jpgchucks-deli-036.jpg

Ramon ordered The Buffy.  It looked so spicy for me, but Ramon said it was not but it was very rich according to him

chucks-deli-038.jpgchucks-deli-037.jpg

Since Ramon ordered only 1/2 slab, he did not take the Challenge 🙂

chucks-deli-09.jpgchucks-deli-04.jpg

James ordered a caramel milkshake and he said it was really good!! He told us already after the meal!  So, hopefully we get to try it next time

img_5aaa576.jpg

We did not get to try the desserts anymore
