I am not a Hainanese Chicken eater and even if everybody ordered Hainanese chicken, I ordered a Wagyu burger!  🙂

chatterbox-01.jpgchatterbox-02.jpgchatterbox-03.jpgchatterbox-04.jpgchatterbox-05.jpgchatterbox-06.jpgchatterbox-07.jpg

But when I tasted this….wow!  I left the burger and started eating this! YUM!!   Many say Chatterbox is the original and the BEST….wondering if there are other good Hainanese Chicken in Singapore

chatterbox-012.jpgchatterbox-013.jpg

You can ask for brown meat if you want

chatterbox-014.jpg

And this Sago Gula Melaka was so so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chatterbox-015.jpg

This was the Mandarin Coconut ice cream – but preferred the Gula Melaka!!

Mom orders everything so we just sit and wait

Oh my gosh! This dish is soooooo YUMMY!!!  Deef Fried Baby Squid!  I got so full eating just this!

long-beach-dempsey-hil-04.jpg

Steamed Live Scottish Bamboo Clams with minced garlic long-beach-dempsey-hil-033.jpg

Spicy version of the bamboo clams

long-beach-dempsey-hil-045.jpg

I don’t think this is in the menu but for the kids they always like spare ribs

long-beach-dempsey-hil-034.jpg

One of their specialties- Chili Crab – so good sana but too spicy for me, but I still ate some

long-beach-dempsey-hil-035.jpg

bread that comes with it so you can dip and scrape the sauce 🙂

long-beach-dempsey-hil-036.jpg

This was the flat fish in the photo live in the aquarium

long-beach-dempsey-hil-037.jpg

This was just plain steamed crab, soooooo YUMMY!!!!

long-beach-dempsey-hil-041.jpg

Black Pepper Crab- another specialty- spicy also but I liked it better than the chili crab

 img_4211-copy.JPGimg_4213-copy.JPG

Renowned Crispy Duck!! WOW!!! Really good!!

img_4228-copy.JPGimg_4230-copy.JPG

Fresh Twin Mushroom with vegetables – also very YUMMY!!

long-beach-dempsey-hil-042.jpg

Fried Rice with Silver fish and bean sprout – YUMMY!!!! If I had a choice, I would ask for more crispy silver fish and just remove the bean sprouts 🙂  Something different from the salted fish fried rice we always order

Hide Yamamoto, Marina Bay Sands

By | Foodie, Travel | One Comment

We finally arrived at our dinner venue….

hide-yamamoto-01.jpghide-yamamoto-02.jpghide-yamamoto-05.jpg

A sample of their 10-course meal

hide-yamamoto-06.jpg

It was a beautiful place, we were so hungry as we had just arrived from the airport.  We had a reservation for 8:30 pm and they told us to be on time, we had to give credit card details in advance to guarantee our seating and we would have to pay $500.00 per person if we cancelled our reservation.  It was almost 9pm and they were still not sitting us and a group came in and were seated right away.  We were so upset, we complained to the manager, but then she was not so nice.   We asked to be served atleast drinks and appetizers as we were very hungry- she said she will give us cookies. Huh?  So we decided to just leave and maybe we should have charged them $ 500.00 per person since they didn’t seat us?

So we just walked out and looked for another place to eat and down the row was another Japanese restaurant

hide-yamamoto-038.jpghide-yamamoto-07.jpg

You can choose whether you want Robatayaki, Sushi, Teppanyaki or Ramen.

hide-yamamoto-08.jpghide-yamamoto-023.jpg

Robatayaki

Teppanyaki

Ramen- we sat in the Ramen place but they gave a menu that covered almost everything except for the teppanyaki.  We just wanted to eat, so we were happy they were accomodating at this place

When we go to Summer Palace, Mom just looks for Nancy and she takes care of everything. She suggests and then we just say OKAY! 🙂 You just have to decide on the size of the order

nancy-at-edsa-shang-palace-05.jpg

Javier was looking for the shredded chili beef in cuapao bread like what he has in Peking Garden- so he asked Nancy and this is what came!  It was like crispy thin beef that was sweet! YUMMY!   Wiped out fast!

nancy-at-edsa-shang-palace-06.jpg

I requested for this- the prawns with cereals

nancy-at-edsa-shang-palace-07.jpg

This was fried fish which was so so good!! Nancy said you have to eat it with the calamansi and true enough it was better with the calamansi. YUM YUM!

nancy-at-edsa-shang-palace-08.jpg

Another unique dish, fried soft shell crab with floss – YUM!!!

nancy-at-edsa-shang-palace-010.jpg
