Two or three friends recommended this place, so we made sure to try it. It was very hard to reserve so we just got whatever slot was available which was a late lunch. It was worth it. Walk towards the port to the Passenger Terminal
It’s in the corner of the second floor
View from the second floor facing the city
And supposedly the Opera House but since there as a Cruise Ship docked at that time, this was our view 🙂

A restaurant recommended by the concierge. It’s a beautiful building with an exquisite view. Since it is inside a complex, I suggest that instead of asking them to call a cab, just walk towards the main street and hail a cab from there. It’s faster and easier. Light bulbs hanging in the middle of the restaurant 🙂 Though it’s sort of blocking the view Modern Sashimi – Scallops Tuna Ala Carte Duck Breast, crispy leg, Umeboshi, fig, pickled eggplant Click below to go to their website [email_link]
My friend, Maj, told me about Adriano Zumbo, the Australian Patisier, so when we walked into the Queen Victoria Building ( QVB ) and saw this, we immediately lined up to try the macarons. Here it’s called ZUMBARONS! He has very unique flavours! Caramel flavour ( Caramel with salted butter ) for us to have a basis of comparison! YUM!! It has a generous centre filling!!! Stores in Australia close early, so at around 5pm when we went to the mall, the showcase of Zumbo was almost wiped out. Not too many pastries left displayed. I caught only these but loved the way they look!!! Adriano Zumbo even has his own Tim Tam creations One of our companions on the trip was able to go to the main boutique of Zumbo and took home more macarons!! And this was my favourite!!!! LOVE!!!!! I am sure you will find your own favourite too!! He even has books with many many recipes and nice photos of all his creations!!!!! Another restaurant from last trip Previous entry: Nick’s Seafood Cockle Bay Wharf Syndey June 17, 2009 We ordered more or less the same things as I look back at our photos, but this time we ordered the Moreton Bay Bugs Yum and I loved that butter sauce on the side Scallops Salt and Pepper Calamarin Crab Ravioli YUM!! When in Australia – Sticky Toffee Pudding!!! [email_link]
First meal upon arrival is our favourite place!!! This is part three because we ate here twice during our last trip. Previous entry: Golden Century Chinatown Sydney June 16, 2009 First stop is always the water tanks to see what they have that’s alive and swimming 🙂 They will go to your table and show you what you ordered and weigh it in front of you The famous Pippies in XO sauce The last time we were here, Chef Javs was only 9 years old and was hiding behind Tito Quits But someone always has to do the ceremonial photo with the Tasmanian King crab, so now it’s Chef Javs carrying the crab 🙂 Which we have three ways – I prefer the first way which is fried and a second way for me would be just steamed or grilled since all the sauces are masking the freshness of the crab WIPED OUT! 🙂 Click below to go to their website [email_link]
Heart2Heart loves this cozy set up for breakfast at the Executive Club in the Four Seasons hotel. It comes with the room and you can come here for breakfast and cocktails Cocktails There is this interesting cabinet that you will see during breakfast and at night they open it and it becomes a self service bar! Get any drink you want!! [email_link]
We were so happy to be on the same flight as Chef See Cheong San. I saw him when we were lining up said hi then when we entered the plane, I opened the menu and saw him there!! So I looked for him in his seat and went to take his photo with the menu! 🙂 who is one of the PAL Master Chefs! King Dao Pork – This was the dish by Chef See and it was the best among the three we ordered [email_link]
I was so happy to see Vangie Baga Reyes from the Philippine Daily Inquirer ( PDI ). I have not seen her in more than ten years and she’s blooming 🙂 She is the famous writer of the Best Desserts article that comes out in the PDI every year!! I believe this started in 2011 then 2012 And because of it’s popularity, they published a book!!! Not only maybe because it is so popular, I am sure she has a hard time limiting the list to only 20 that she had to make a book!! 🙂 We have so many talented bakers in our country! They launched it last February. Congratulations Vangie!! More power!! [email_link]
